McKenzi Sanaa Lyons, daughter of Henry and Benita Lyons was born July 10, 2004, in Tallahassee, Florida.

McKenzi was baptized on November 3, 2020, at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from James S. Rickards High School and attended Ava Maria University.

Our daughter had a smile that could light up any room, a smile people will never forget. She was a natural athlete, gifted in nearly every sport she played, moving with confidence, strength, and joy. But what made her truly special was not just her talent; it was her heart. She was loving, loyal, and a true friend to so many. She gave freely, even to the point of giving her last, and she found happiness in making others laugh. Everyone who knew her saw not only her beauty on the outside but the kindness and warmth she carried within. She was a bright light in this world, and her memory will continue to shine in the lives she touched.

McKenzi leaves to cherish her memory: her parents, Henry and Benita Lyons; her sister, Kacia Lyons; her grandmother, Doris Reid; her godmother, Stephanie Davis; her uncles, Winston McFarland (Paulette), Lloyd Lyons (Karrell), George Lyons, Vernon Brown, Tony Brown, Larry Brown, and Darrell Brown; her aunts, Charmain Reid, Gloria Williams, Pamela Davis, Armetta Brown, and Barbara Walton (Hardie); along with a host of other relatives and friends.

McKenzi was preceded in death by her sister, Judine Lyons, and grandparents Bobby and Shirley Brown.
